Herrin, Illinois - Former College Republican National Committee Field Representative Jeffrey Isbell, of Herrin Illinois has announced his run for Williamson County Commissioner. Jeffrey is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Springfield College Republicans and served as a Field Representative for the CRNC during the 2006 midterm elections.
"I've lived in Southern Illinois my entire life and am proud to call this my home, however, my home could use a little work. We need more transparency and accountability in our government; we must create a business friendly environment to lure large companies to our county; and we have to keep our spending in check and look at ways to reduce the tax burden on our residents," said Jeffrey Isbell.
Jeffrey was raised in Southern Illinois his entire life and graduated from Herrin High School in 2005. He then attended the University of Illinois at Springfield. He has worked several statewide, congressional, and most recently, a presidential campaign. In addition, he has worked for Students for Life of America, Parents for Choice in Education, and the Leadership Institute.
"For as long as I can remember, I've committed myself to helping other people. My grandfather lived a life of sacrifice, like most in his generation. He served his country ably in the Army during the Korean War, he was a retired civil service employee from the city of Herrin, was a fighter until the day he died, and most importantly was a Christian. He taught me about sacrifice and standing for what is right."
As a Williamson County Commissioner, Jeffrey will represent 65,000+ people and serve as one of three County Commissioners. To make a political contribution to Jeffrey Isbell's campaign, visit his website at www.jeffreyisbell.com or mail checks to 13735 Allen Road in Carterville, Illinois 62918.
